RICE
RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) has long been used to treat acute and chronic injury and assist in orthopedic surgery rehabilitation. Developed by scientists and doctors using proprietary NASA spacesuit technology, the Game Ready System simultaneously delivers both adjustable cold therapy and intermittent compression, making it easy to apply the two most difficult-to-manage aspects of the RICE regimen.
Game Ready combines intermittent compression with circumferential cold therapy in one adjustable system.
Ice and compression have long been the mainstays of soft tissue injury treatment programs. But traditional ice packs and other cold therapy and static compression devices can be messy and difficult to use. That's where Game Ready™ comes in.
GameReady Unit
Where elastic bandages, messy ice packs, and other alternatives offer limited adjustability, the Game Ready™ System allows you to easily adjust pressure, manage temperature, and select treatment time settings—with just the push of a few buttons and the twist of a dial. Now you can simply and simultaneously apply intermittent compression and adjustable cold therapy to deliver the two most difficult-to-manage aspects of the RICE regimen in one easy-to-use treatment system.
Adjustable Compression. Three settings of cyclical pneumatic (air) compression or the option of no compression:
High (5 to 75 mm Hg): approximately 2 to 3 minutes of inflation and 1 minute of deflation
Medium (5 to 50 mm Hg): approximately 2 to 3 minutes of inflation and 1 minute of deflation
Low (5 to 15 mm Hg): approximately 4 to 5 minutes of inflation and 1 minute of deflation
No compression
Temperature Adjustment. For cold therapy between 35°F to 50°F (when full of ice). Unit continuously cycles liquid through circumferential Wraps, even over larger surface areas.
Digital Timer. For convenient management of treatment time, without having to continually monitor the system:
Timer can be set for a specific treatment time, up to 95 minutes; Control Unit automatically shuts off once the treatment time has elapsed.
Timer also can be set to run continuously for up to 190 minutes.
Portability. The Game Ready Control Unit measures just 5.5”W x 16”L x 8.5”H and weighs only 8 lbs. empty. Easy to transport, it allows you to administer treatment on the go or wherever it is required. Optional Carry Bag makes traveling with Game Ready even more convenient.
Impact Resistance. Made from impact resistant plastic for durability.
Care and Storage. The Game Ready Control Unit can be cleaned with a mild disinfectant (warm water with mild detergent, Lysol, 70% isopropyl alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide). Store in optional Carry Bag or other protected place. Be sure to remove water and ice and dry before storing.
